Reverend Wesley McClure
Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church
Reverend Wesley McClure is the Senior Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church of Providence with over 25 years of combined international and cross-cultural preaching, teaching, leadership, and organizational experience in adult and youth discipleship, missions, justice, and outreach ministries. He served as an Associate Pastor, Campus Pastor, and Minister of Enablement at the English Ministry Affiliate of Onnuri Church, a 65,000-70,000-member international megachurch in Seoul, Korea. He has been on missionary and vision trips and ministered in Haiti, Korea, Mongolia, Japan, and Thailand. Pastor Wesley has also been a minister and teacher at Cross Ridge Baptist Church in Little Elm, Texas, where he was ordained to the Gospel ministry. Pastor also served as a minister at Pleasant Street Baptist Church in Westerly, RI, where he was licensed to preach the Gospel.
Pastor McClure began his seminary education at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, Center for Urban Ministerial Education, and has a Master’s Degree in Discipleship from Dallas Baptist University, a Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and History from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Pastor McClure is published and presents at Calvary with notable awards and affiliations.
Martha Buxton
Administrative Assistant
Martha Buxton, Administrative Assistant, has been in this role for 27 years. She is a faithful servant of the Lord. She performs duties related to the administration efforts of Calvary Baptist Church such as preparing the weekly church bulletin, and a monthly newsletter, sending email correspondence relevant to the congregation to keep all informed of events and congregational news that they need to know about in a timely manner. She is often the first person to interact with other church partners and the community at large.
